SAY NO TO PLASTIC
Do you know that plastic can take hundreds of years to decompose? And by that time, plastic waste causes the death of millions of birds and animals, also polluting and poisoning nature. To raise awareness about the main adverse effects of plastic pollution, My Step Foundation started a “Plastic Free Armenia” campaign, having the goal to influence the reduction of plastic waste in Armenia.

To promote the “Plastic Free Armenia” campaign and expose the essential communication messages of the program, we designed a unique and vibrant visual identity to attract the youth and open dialogue around the causes and effects of plastic pollution in Armenia. Our team created an all-plastic character for the campaign, intended to communicate the importance of reducing plastic waste in everyday life and encourage people to save nature by “sacrificing” the plastic character.
The designed visuals and the main character became the soul of the campaign materials, including posters, pins, stickers, tote bags, as well as plastic recycling bins designed to place in schools and universities.
Besides, we developed a concept of an entertaining program for the workshops in the schools. The program included various thematic games, as well as a three-month activity calendar with interactive design and educative post-workshop tasks for students and teachers to reduce the plastic waste right in their schools and families.

EDUCATIONAL VIDEO & ANIMATIONS
Also, an educational video and catchy animated videos were created, aimed at making the topic digestible for the target audience and helping them learn more about the global problems caused by the growth of plastic use in everyday life, as well as providing information on how to prevent or reduce plastic waste.
The entire campaign content was adapted to the My Step Foundation social media pages to raise awareness about the campaign and create engagement within the younger generation in Armenia.
To complete the campaign, our team also created a commercial, with the primary spotlight on school kids, who encourage caring for nature and saying NO to plastic.
